Frequency Filters And Pick 3 Lottery & Pick 4 Lottery Games

If you are a Pick 3 lottery or Pick 4 lottery player, have you noticed how helpful your local State Lottery Official Websites have become by offering free information to help players find winning numbers?

Some Official State Lottery sites are offering software capabilities to allow players find lucky lottery numbers to play.

A recent web surfing adventure took me to the Official Delaware Lottery Website. This lottery website offers lottery players an ongoing updated frequency list of Pick 3 digits and Pick 4 digits that have been drawn. This frequency list is updated automatically after each drawing.

The frequency filter based on the history of all drawn lottery numbers in each lottery game indicates to the players which of the ten digits – 0 to 9 – have been drawn the most times and the least times, and ranks all ten digits from most drawn to least drawn by actual number of drawings and the related percentages.

This frequency filter is used by Pick 3 systems and Pick 4 systems, particularly in software programs, to assist lottery players to produce the most effective list of potential numbers to play and win. By knowing that certain digits are drawn more than others lead to the belief that these more potent digits will increase one’s chances to win by playing these better performing digits.

Mathematicians using the typical bell curve analysis suggest that in time all numbers, except in the case a technical bias created with a particular drawing system, should be drawn an equal amount of times. Generally, the overall number spread in random drawings is very small in the big picture of total draws.

What is the real significance of the percentage of .003663 between the most drawn digit and the least drawn digit as in the case of the Delaware Play 3 game based on 186/50,778 drawings? It is similar to an 80 year old man saying to a 35 year old man, “In the history of mankind, we are about the same age.” The actual percentage by count is 10.1816% for the most drawn digit and 9.8153% for the least drawn digit.

Can a barely noticeable blip on the radar screen of positive numbers really make any real significance for the lottery player in choosing to play one digit over another?

The Delaware Play 4 frequency chart wasn’t much different. It produced a .003246 difference between the most drawn digit and the least drawn digit out of a total number of 61,300 drawings.

Based on this presented data found on the Official Delaware State Lottery website, are the resultant percentage differences of the digits significant enough to create a real choice for lottery players?

Can frequency charts in general make any difference at all when using the total number of drawings from day one of the particular lottery game, either Pick 3 lottery or Pick 4 lottery, when the difference is reduced as low as three one thousandth of a percent of the total drawings?

Like looking for a needle in a haystack, splitting hairs as thin as these numbers suggest, choosing one digit over another, particularly in the middle range of the bell curve, makes it even more of an impossible task for even the most dedicated and committed lottery players who are willing to spend time in their research to find the next winning Pick 3 number or Pick 4 number to play.

How to Win Pick 3 Lottery With Friends

When you think about friendships it is interesting to note that we all start out as strangers to each other. After that initial encounter it is chance or fate that we enter into a relationship.

Sometimes the friendship is mystical and magical that it begins immediately because everything is just right at the moment and mentally and emotionally that two individuals really just like each other.

Other friendships take time to develop based on similar interests. In either case, these friendships can last a lifetime.

One marvels at the process of how an only child, for example, can be welcomed through friendship into a family of six, and become and intricate part of that family over the years to the point that one forgets they are biologically different. The bond of friendship is based on mutual interest. The blended family is the Pick 3 Lottery, and their mutual interest is being a drawn Pick 3 number.

Pick 3 lottery numbers create friendships in the exact same way. They like getting together or celebrating the same dates when it comes to drawings. Wherever there is one, the other is not too far away. Despite long absents away from each other, they are able to reunite and celebrate together picking up their friendship that began years ago.

In the Illinois Pick 3 Lottery 777 and the family of 279, 297, 729, 792, 927, and 972 have such friendship. Over the years these Pick 3 numbers have carried on such a friendship.

I refer to this relationship as a “Friend Trend”. It began as a very distant relationship when on April 23, 1980 the 729 was drawn in the Illinois Pick 3 Lottery. Exactly four years later to the date 777 was drawn on April 23, 1984. This seemingly chance occurrence of Pick 3 numbers went unnoticed by millions of Illinois Pick 3 lottery players, but it was the beginning of a very unique relationship.

This simple sharing of the same date provided the answer to the question 'How to Win Pick 3?' over the years with their future drawings. 777 and the family of 279 would alert players to the fact that one of their group would be nearby in another drawing.

Five years later they repeated this same date occurrence. On February 8, 1988 the 927 was drawn. One year later to the exact date on February 8, 1989 the 777 was drawn.

After years of not seeing or hearing from each other, they reunited in 1997. Missing each other, they pledged to see more of each other over the next two years agreeing to continue to share same dates from month to month.

On March 20, 1997 in the evening drawing of the Illinois Pick 3 Lottery 927 was drawn. Two months later on May 20, 1997 in the evening drawing 777 completed the first cycle of the year.


The Christmas holidays is a time for family and friends to get together. These Pick 3 numbers did just that. If Illinois Pick 3 Lottery players were wondering how to win Pick 3 during the holidays, they just need to watch for any holiday gathering of these Pick 3 numbers.

December 26,1997 marked the date for their gathering. 777 arrived first in the Midday drawing, and 729 arrived in the Evening drawing. What a great Holiday Cash Gift these two friends delivered to the Illinois Pick 3 Lottery players.

Knowing how cold winters in Illinois can be these two pick 3 lottery friends agreed to get together again sometime over the next two years, but during the summer.

True to their friendship and their word in the Spring of 1999, the 927 send a message to 777 this would be the year for the summer gathering. This would be a family gathering. The date was set.

927 was drawn on April 28, 1999 in the Midday drawing. Three months later, in the middle of summer, the 279 family came together. On July 27, 1999 the 792 was the first to arrive in the Midday drawing. Later that evening another family member arrived, namely the 927.

In true friendship and keeping to his word, 777 arrived right on time the next day on July 28, 1999 in the Midday drawing. Talk about how to win Pick 3 in July!
